So Mistaken

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Saturday, 21st September 2019 @ 03:03:07 PM in AEST
Topic: Life

Another child`s life has been taken
In the land of the God-forsaken
What`s in their heads, in their heads
How can they be so mistaken
Never take the life of the livin`
I always thought that was a given

Our words they do distort
Drag us to court
Ignore the words that are spoken
So they can abort
The innocent, the unwoken

What`s in their heads, in their heads
How can they be so mistaken

From the land of the God-forsaken
They worry about the colors of man
But they abort whomever they can

Freedom and rights for all
They claim to stand tall
But what comes from the mother`s womb
Shall lie under a tomb
That I will assume

No, no, that`s not me, not me
I`m for family, family
What`s in their heads, in their heads
How can they be so mistaken

They claim to be for humankind
But are willing to abort whomever they find

No, no, that`s not me, not me
Cause I believe in family, family
What`s in their heads, in their heads
How can they be so mistaken
When it`s another life they are a takin`

Notes;
I was listening to" Zombie" by "The Cranberries" and their song spun this way in my head.

This struck a note with me.

"A woman has the right what to do with her body."

⬆️

That statement fails in my not so humble opinion because if that is true, gender shouldn/'/t be considered and therefore the unborn child also has the right to decide what to do with their body. They obviously choose life.

Love this poem.

Thank you,

Dugan

//Sorry for all the duplicates. I can`t delete them because that`s another problem with the site. I get access denied in some parts of the premium section.

I was trying to edit something and well, there ya` go. I think one of those comments might actually be the final version. 😋
