Wishes of Forever
The lights have faded, a body sedated,

Parlayed by pain, dark clouds and rain,

Tear stains upon my face, heartbroken and love erased,

Try but cannot speak, answers I seek,


Moon shines bright, stars take flight,

Cold wind blows, my story unfolds,

A beautiful beginning, but tragic ending,

What was thought to be, never became a reality,


Soul searching, a man left hurting

A kiss so sweet, a heart that weeps,

Dreary days and lonely nights, suffering… with no end in sight,

Upon this sleeve I wear my heart, because of you, my world torn apart,


A destructive soul is what you are called; you’re at your greatest before the fall,

The sun will rise, but these eyes still cry,

Wishes of forever turn to never,

Was it to be, or did you plan to destroy me?
