The Ghost Of You It is raining outside
like a crippled pilgrim I moan
and
my shadow sighs as I realize
that I am in a virtual relationship
and I did not even know.

I text you
and
it takes you 3 days to respond
and when you do
you say
that nothing is wrong,
You say you want me around
yet
you are no where to be found,
can not recall the last time
I heard your voice
I try and I try
but I fail every time.

you see
in this virtual world
We are not in the same book
so the pages are all wrong
and
I have not seen you for so long
(and it has been awhile)
I have forgotten how you look
and I am uncertain
if I want this emotion anymore.
