To what do I owe this displeasure?
To whom do I give my malevolent thanks?
What creature, hell bound or heavenly sent, decided to grant me such a gift?
A malady of mortality, A fear so profound it is etched into my very bones, A dread so steeped it defies all sanity, A paranoia that brings all shadows to life.
In my home unrested and weary, horror bound upon my study, dutifully doth I pray to keep the demons at bay, to keep my soul till mornings grace, to keep my mind from some darkened place, to keep me safe from the shadows that leer and smile and gnaw.
