Desires and Vengeance
Wake up
Pistol whip myself for good measure.
Without waking I know what it will be,
A deluge of despondence,
Random chaos raining down.
My life boat is overwhelmed,
A tiny vessel caught.
Her vengeance is an ocean
And it's seeping in on me.
Soaking me raw with regrets of forgotten promises.
I can't, I just can't.
Horizon and ocean meet, inseparable,
They are twins, eternal.
Sailing forever onward into the vast emptiness.
The two cannot coexist,
Loving one and hating the other.
Some days I don't know which is who
I want to be the subject of her ink.
Desires, black and white.
