Edit Poem

Editing Instructions

Please note in the NOTES textbox below that this poem has been edited, do not put your name, please put as the following:
<!--EDITED by moderators on (Date) for (reasons).-->
DO NOT remove the line break ( <br /> ) html coding at the end of each line break, these are needed to form the correct lines.
THE CHEATIf you do not wish to delete a poem, or a certain part of a poem, and instead would like to send the url to Mick via PM for confirmation, enclose the entire poem (or part/s thereof) between <!--    and     --> (ie. <!--    POEM TEXT HERE     -->). This will still save the text, but will make it invisible from viewing (other than page source view). You could also add before the <!-- something to the effect of "This Poem under review".

Area of Shaded Gray Talent show in a week
I'm short of time
Gotta build a fort of rhymes to feel secure inside
Torn inside, I'm at war inside
Will this storm subside?
Anger forms its eye
And unless it's blind then I'm sure to die
Besides prayers for inner peace, what more to try?
Struggle to write yet so much on my mind
I walk a line between fire and suicide
Soon to die or soon to side with the devil's advocate of my mind
Adversity's adversary
Odds stacked unfairly
There again they're odds
They don't come evened out
But someway somehow I'll angel these demons out
Turn 4 walls into an art project
Winter schemes for my summer dreams
Nightmares spring in between, intervenes
Wash the walls off now, need to get 'em clean
Rid the things that shouldn't be in the picture
No need for watercolors since blood is thicker, than water
Now, let's paint this all over...
Cut the heart on my sleeve
Dip my paintbrush in it
Life of colors, ain't much in it
But the paint of my heart still gives it a lively effect
Give my soul to the canvas
In warm-blooded stanzas
Bryant Park
Chelsea Piers
Times Square
Envision it being my stage whenever I'm there
The heart of New York City in the palm of my hand
In that very moment I make the world stand, still...

(I may end up all over the place as I go on...forgive me...if I lose your attention, I understand...)

My favorite artist
J. Cole drops his album next week
Just like his previous one
This album gets leaked before its due date
If you was me, could you wait?
My friends talk about it on facebook, too late
I gotta hear them
YouTube, I look for his songs
January 28, I put this on
Marvelous
That man Cole never fail
Another classic put together very well
Deep in my feelings while I vibe
Thanks Cole, I'm inspired to write my own fire,
Fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire...

Walk a line between fire and suicide
Soon to die or soon to side with the devil's advocate of my mind
Will my pride last or
Will I do business with Blackheart as last resort?
These 4 walls and these blasted thoughts
Emotionally drained going back and forth,
Back and forth,
Back and forth,
Back and forth
This, that
Want, need
Think, feel
Sad, frustrated
Weak, powerful
Hopeful, doubtful
Devil, God too
Tearing myself apart pulling myself together
Look up wondering what does it take to get Her
To answer my prayers, send me a sign
Blood in the scent of me sighing
At this point forgotten what's the sense of me trying
Blood drips from my body into the fire
That's the scent of me dying
If I fail..
Can't say I didn't reach out to you
You just didn't care.
