Irony
Light pervades the room as thoughts engage,
Eyes hypnotized,
In the center of the room,
A rose engraving covers the ceiling light,
The irony pierces me as I fade with the slanting walls,
To forget it all, my mind pulls apart,
Shifting in all directions,
Drifting about nothing but everything at the same time,
The shortness of breath caused by a quick beat of the heart and something deep in the gut,
Is controlled,
As senses cool,
Mind melts away to the back of my head,
But thoughts stay intact,
Thoughts that flow not in the form of words,
Often to quick to catch, at times when they convalesce
With feelings, and energies,
Of things I can’t see,
All I can see, on a long dark night,
Is one sole light, engraved by roses,
Striking,
Irony.
